London Chambers

Our London Chambers venue is in a very historic area of central London, adjacent to Fleet street (named after the Fleet River - see 'The Lost Rivers of London'). Our regular conference room is indeed opposite the historic Temple church, well known for its connections to the Knights Templar and the Da Vinci Code. Perhaps take a moment to view the brass effigies of long dead knights.

Andrew also recommends that either before or after visiting us you view the Royal Courts of Justice and St Brides church. This Wren church is said to have been the inspiration for the design of modern wedding cakes. The church was largely rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1666. It had to be again reconstructed after being gutted by firebombs dropped by the Luftwaffe during the Blitz of the Second World War.

St Brides church is at least the seventh church to stand on the site and is said to be founded by St Bridgette in the 6th century. In the crypt is one of the few examples of Roman pavement in London.
